Do You Ever Just Feel Like Crying?

I know it is spring and the sun keeps peeking out.

I know I am ready to embark on a wonderful journey.

I know I have God's amazing love and the love of my family and friends.

I know I have much to be thankful for.....

but I just feel like crying.

I feel like I have been trying to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders.

I have read so many stories of the plight of children around the world.

I have actually been learning about horrific historical events that somehow I missed over the last 30+ years.

The hurts and the problems in the world are huge and I (and probably you) want to fix it all.

I can't. I don't have all of the answers. I can only be in one place at a time. but....

I can pray, I can trust that God has the answers, and He can be in all places.

He does call us to be His hands and feet. He does call us to love and care and even sacrifice, but He tells us not to be anxious, not to worry about tomorrow. Why because He will give us the strength and the peace we need each day. He will direct our steps.

I can cry because I believe when He sees these children suffering He cries. But I have hope because I know He loves them.

Let us all pray that God will send more workers into all nations.

New International Version (©1984)
He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2

As Mark 11:7a says: ‘Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’

If you want to begin praying for all nations, here is a great resource to guide you. Each day you get an email with information and a video about a country. It gives a lot of information so we can pray specifically. The kids love it and it gives our family something to focus on together.

  1. Just my opinion -

When you see the world as you are speaking, I believe you have began to see and feel the very heart of God. It is overwhelming.
